Synopsis: In this article, Zelda Stern encourages people to always keep their values in mind when deciding which organizations they donate to. Stern urges the reader to ask pertinent questions of those soliciting to determine whether or not his/her values mesh with the organization?s policies. Additionally, she suggests that the reader tell the solicitor why or why not s/he has decided to give to their organization and, if their values do not mesh, to encourage the solicitor to come back to him/her should the organization?s policies change.
