Ideally, Kallah and Hatan classes would prepare both bride and groom for the transition to married life. Most importantly, they would provide a safe environment in which to learn the complex laws of taharat hamishpahah, as well as a place to ask frank questions about niddah and sex. Many couples and teachers have suggested incorporating topics such as effective listening and communication skills; balancing and managing work, finances and family; intimacy and more.
